We are the Brunei-Japan Friendship Association (BJFA).
With the help of a passionate team of voluntary members and the continued support of our key sponsors, the BJFA facilitates a calendar of events that aims to strengthen the bilateral relationship between Brunei Darussalam and Japan.
The BJFA focuses heavily on engaging the greater community, especially our youth, young entrepreneurs, and people across industries. Each year, we facilitate numerous events and activities that explore the art, culture, language, and sport of both nations. We also coordinate several homestay programs, which you will see on our Events page.

Dato Paduka Hj Hamdillah Hj Abdul Wahab was elected to lead the Brunei Japan Friendship Association (BJFA) as president. Under his leadership, the BJFA has put fresh emphasis on youth development, entrepreneurship and volunteerism. With this new direction, the former deputy minister envisions more young members to get involved and develop their organisational and entrepreneurial skills.
The 50th year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation and its future prospect
The year 2023 marks the 50th commemorative year of ASEAN-Japan relations. The video introduces ASEAN-Japan relations which have been built on the ''heart-to heart'' relationship of mutual trust, with some examples of ASEAN-Japan cooperation.
