BJFA MEMBERSHIP

Membership is open to:

(a) all Citizens and Residents of Negara Brunei Darussalam, including foreigners residing in the country, and

(b) all local and international companies which are registered in Brunei.

MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES

Members have the right to:

(a) Vote and be voted in an Annual General Meeting (AGM) election for Executive Committee and other positions within the Brunei-Japan Friendship Association (BJFA).

(b) Participate and co-operate in the implementation and execution of the projects and activities undertaken by BJFA.

(c) Fully comply with the Law and Constitution of the BJFA.

(d) Participate in BJFA Cooperative activities and as a shareholder.

For corporate membership, the decision to officially launch a differentiated level of corporate sponsorship will recognise the varying sizes and different approaches to corporate social responsibilities, and corporate needs of the different participating companies in Brunei Darussalam, as well as in Japan.

Therefore, the roles and responsibilities of both the BJFA and Corporate Members are consequent. It is conceivable that companies participate in BJFA Cooperative activities, and become a shareholder if it is legally possible. Or consider alternative sponsoring options by supporting BJFA initiatives to engage and inspire the next generation.

The decision to officially launch a differentiated level of corporate sponsorship will recognise the varying sizes and approaches to corporate social responsibility, as well as the different corporate needs of the participating companies in both Brunei and Japan. The roles and responsibilities of both the BJFA and sponsoring companies are consequent.

The common denominator is the inclusion of the respective websites of the sponsoring organisations, with an enhanced value proposition, which would be crafted jointly by BJFA management, led by the President, and the management of the sponsoring company. A customised proposal will be developed to highlight the differentiated value proposition following close consultation with the sponsoring companies.
